Palazzo Las Olas

Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Completion: Not complete. Suffered rejection by City Commission after virtually all approvals, completed design development, and 100% reserved sell-out.

 

This was a mixed-use retail and 173-unit luxury condominium project on Fort Lauderdale's Intracoastal Waterway.

 

Primary Responsibility: Owner’s Senior Vice President

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of pre-development and pre-construction, design and construction of the project’s sales center, bid solicitation and evaluation, contracts negotiations and award, and liaising with consultants and contractors.


Port of the Islands Resort & Marina

Naples, Florida

$30,000,000 / Completion: 2002

 

This project consisted of 7 constructed in the 1960's that had gone to ruin and were renovated and converted to hotel-condominium ownership by us in late 1990's. Four additional buildings and a series of condo-u-store-it boat warehouse units were designed and approved for construction. A 185-unit slip deep-water marina with fuel dock and service building were also a part of the project. The slips were approved and slated as for-sale product as “dock-o-miniums”, which involved obtaining true ownership of the marina “bottom” as opposed to sub-surface ground lease.

 

Primary Responsibility: Owner’s Director of Development & Construction

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of pre-development, pre-construction, construction and close-out of the project, including design and construction of the project’s sales center, bid solicitation and evaluation, contracts negotiations and award with all consultants, contractors and vendors, and liaising with all unit owners, city officials, consultants and contractors.


Spa Atlantis Resort & Health Spa

Pompano Beach, Florida

$27,000,000 / Completion: 2003

 

Spa Atlantis, a full-service oceanfront spa resort located 12 miles from Ft. Lauderdale airport, offers a full range of health, beauty and therapeutic treatments.

 

Primary Responsibility: Owner’s Director of Development & Construction

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of pre-development, pre-construction, construction and close-out of the project, including design and construction of the project’s Sales Center, bid solicitation and evaluation, contracts negotiations and award with consultants, contractors, and vendors and liaising with unit owners, city officials, consultants and contractors.


Upper Arlington Library

Upper Arlington, Ohio

Completion: 2003

 

This project called for the renovation of 29,000 sq. ft. of existing library space, the addition of 30,000 sq. ft. of new space, a more clearly defined entrance and lobby, and completely redesigned parking and vehicular access areas.

 

Primary Responsibility: Contract Administrator

On behalf of the Architect of Record, assure compliance with Construction Documents, review and approval of contractor pay requests and shop drawings / design (model building).


W Fort Lauderdale Resort & Residences
(aka Capri Resort)

Fort Lauderdale, Florida

$340,000,000
Anticipated Completion: 2007

(after I left Company, Project opening was delayed until early 2009)

 

This mixed-use resort on Fort Lauderdale Beach consists of twin 23-story towers, 346 resort hotel rooms and 171 luxury hotel-condo units.

The W will also include a destination health spa, meeting and convention facilities, restaurants and lounges and various other resort amenities.

 

Primary Responsibility: Owner’s Senior Vice President

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of pre-development, design, pre-construction and construction of the project, including bid solicitation and evaluation, contracts negotiations and award with consultants, contractors, and vendors and liaising with all unit owners, city officials, consultants and contractors.
