American Airlines Arena

The American Airlines Arena, home to the Miami Heat, is a 782,400 sq. ft. / 20,000 seat state-of-the-art multi-use facility in downtown Miami.

 

Primary Responsibilities: Senior Project Manager

Responsible for negotiations and contracting of all “Specialty Scopes,” including the construction and interior build-outs of 15,000 sq. ft. of luxury “Starboxes.”

Also responsible for contracting of 12,000 sq. ft. of restaurant and bar space, 33,000 sq. ft. of food service and concession areas, 33,000 sq. ft. of office space, 11,000 sq. ft. of retail, all audio / video, data / telecom, broadcast, broadband and security systems, scoreboard and video replay systems, graphics and signage, F,F&E, and food service equipment.


Bank Atlantic Center
(fka the Office Depot Center, National Car Rental Center and Broward Civic Arena)

Sunrise , Florida

$184,700,000 / Completion: 1999

 

This 867,000 sq. ft., 22,000 seat arena is home to the Florida Panthers Hockey Club.

 

Primary Responsibility: Developer's Senior Project Manager

 

Development and completion of 30,000 sq. ft. of restaurant / bar space, 20,000 sq. ft. of office space, 12,000 sq. ft. of retail areas, 15,000 sq. ft. of luxury skyboxes, all audio / video, data / telecom, broadcast, scoreboard and security systems, graphics / signage, food service equipment, interior finishes and F,F&E. Personally responsible for redesign of many retail, bar / restaurant spaces to enhance function and design and maintain budget. Shared bottom-line responsibility for budget and schedule including “final word” on what Scopes were added, deleted, enhanced or reduced to attain goals while achieving optimum functional and aesthetic results.


Beach Place

Fort Lauderdale Beach, Florida

$57,000,000 / Completion: 1997

 

Primary Responsibility: Owner's Project Manager

 

This high visibility project included a 22-story Marriott timeshare with attached 3-story, 100,000 sq. ft. entertainment / retail mall (3 night clubs, 7 restaurants, 28 stores). Complex electrical, mechanical, security systems were designed for mix of uses. Responsible for coordinating and liaising with tenants, contractors, owner / developer and city to achieve on-time, on-budget completion before obligated date.


Dayton Correctional

Dayton, Ohio

$25,000,000 / Completion: 1984

 

Primary Responsibility: Contract Administrator and Drafter

 

On behalf of Architect of Record, assure compliance with all Construction Documents and review and approval of all contractor pay requests and shop drawings..

 

This medium-security prison encompassed 9 buildings, including housing, classification, treatment and occupational services for 500 inmates. The facility also included state-of-the-art detection and intrusion systems.
